A great fully marked out route, loads of single track with a few short sections on fire road. Its been properly planned and built so its rideable all year round and hasn\'t just been carved out by local riders. There are some great tight sections amongst the trees, sweeping turns and downhill sprints. There\'s a nice quick section of smooth high berms about 3/4 of the way round, fun but it\'s caught me out a couple of times. There\'s even a little bit of northshore and few jumps!
Review: Cannock is an awesome place wet or dry if you haven't been there yet your definitely missing out on a great time, cobbles at the start can be slippery in the wet apart from that it's fantastic..'????
Review: Its where i learned to ride, and love, singletrack and years later I still really enjoy this place. Nothing too technical but loads of fast runs, swooping curves, short sharp climbs and even a few jumps thrown in to add to the the thrill.
Review: I've only recently taken up trail blazing up the chase I've so far only done the follow the dog course and it's very wet and muddy I've Michelin mud 3s on my cube and there are some inclines I just have to get off and walk it's a great workout and as soon as my fitness level has improved I will stay on
Review: I regularly cycle round the Chase and whilst the trails are great and provide sufficient a challenge for all levels of skill, I normally take the opportunity to take the many fire roads and other single track around the forest. It's superb and especially when you come across the many deer that inhabit the Chase. My advice is don't just go round the trails but explore. You never know what you'll find.
Review: A good quality short'ish trail with some interesting sections including bits of North shore style raised wooden routes. The longer Monkey trail is a must do. There is also a dedicated downhill/freeride area near by.
Review: Some parts are a bit easy but in all it's fun as long as you keep up the speed. It could do with a few more technically challenging parts and jumps.
If you include the newer Monkey Trail in your visit then you face a much bigger challenge with some very taxing climbs, great jumps and high speed crash-worthy parts.
Just make sure you go when it's dry. Last time I went it was seriously muddy and some parts were so bad I simply couldn't get the bike to move at all. Had to get off and push.
