Trail Description
About this trail
Various loops can be ridden, with varying difficulty. More details can be found at:
A map can be found at:
This will include a more comprehensive gpx file and trail map. I've included the gpx we took and the map as an image here.
We road up the east side of Buzzard's loop trail, which was quite rocky at the bottom, but smoothed somewhat as we went up. This trail system is quite rocky. Then we took the "green" trail, along the top. Then back down North Buzzard, with a loop out Therapist and then down the bottom of Jack's. Then finished on the bottom of North Buzzard. While North Buzzard is technically mild, sections to climb pretty steep. The trails are rated from green to "red", which is defined as "severe". Didn't ride any of those.
We cut the ride a bit short, due to the rocky nature. We felt pretty beat up doing the 4 miles or so we road.
As the other website says, this is typical of trails in this area; quite rocky.
Likely wouldn't go out of our way to ride it again.

Review: Well maintained, challenging trail. The rocks provide a great technical ride.

Review: Definitely rocky and technical, but some fast decents also. The views from top of the canyon are incredible. This place is worth checking out if you like a little challenge.

Review: This is a relatively short, but rather fun trail. There are really two main loops. The loop to the western section is a combination of rocky climbs (or descents depending on which way you're going) and somewhat tight switchbacks. It's not as flowy as the eastern section, but fun and challenging. The southern loop is a bit more up and down with some moderately challenging climbs, but nothing overly technical (unless you take to the "severe" sections, which I haven't attempted). The downhill sections have some nice flow and a few little surprises in some areas to keep you on your toes. There are also a couple outlooks and as long as you're not afraid of heights, the ride along the south rim is quite nice (though rocky and a little narrow). The trail is also frequented by hikers, but not as much as M Hill.
