Trail Description
About this trail
Booker T. is currently a beginner-friendly jaunt along the riverside, offering plenty of great views and opportunities for a cool dip in the water. None of the hills are very long or too steep, although there are a few slightly challenging downhills and a couple of rooty sections that may give a complete beginner to the sport pause. The track is nice and narrow, with a few squirrely turns through the tight trees. Still, there is nothing too excessive, and Booker T. Functions as a great little loop for locals not looking to do a crazy amount of climbing or those new to the sport.

SORBA Chattanooga has recently added several miles of new singletrack, but at the time of this writing the state park still has not taken the time to install signage. Until they do, don't expect to be able to find the trail without guidance.

Review: This is a really nice. The trail is marked really well. It does have a lot of hills you have to ride up. Overall I would highly recommend it.

Review: Parts of the trail are washed out making it very narrow in places. This place is not maintained much at all. Not for beginners.

Review: Least favorite place I have rode! Multiple trees downed blocking path, no upkeep of the trail, hard to navigate through the trails because of no signage, most roots I've seen on a trail, in the Chattanooga area, and last but not least, my bike was covered in dog poop once I made it back to the car. I will not be back, too many other trails in the area to mess with Booker T again.

Review: Single track that can be very wet after a good rain. Some big tree roots and a few downed trees. Trail is marked well. Will be riding this one again.

Review: One of my favorite trails in Chattanooga. 8 miles of rooty solitude. Not very technical but fast and flowy

Review: Group ride this morning. The trail is in rough shape after last weeks wind storm. Lots of trees down blocking the trail.

Review: Sweet little chunk of trail on the lake. Not too challenging, but there are a couple of short climbs and rooty descents. All in all, this is still a beginner friendly trail.
