Mountain Biking Bohusleden

***   Add a review
#29 of 47 mountain bike trails in Sweden
#9230 in the world

The Bohus-Leden trail is a very famous point-to-point hiking/backpacking trail that's also bike-legal. It runs for 380km one-way from southern Sweden almost to the Norwegian border.

Some parts of the trail are sweet, technical singletrack, some follow dirt roads, and other parts are graded gravel paths... so it's a very mixed bag of a trail.

Rider questions

Q: Hey, did you ride the whole Bohusleden in Sweden? You say it's best to ride the key sections, can you tell me where they are? I'd like to ride a longer section of the trail, about 150-200km, is the trail better in the south or in the north?

Certain sections of the Bohusleden are great for riding, and others are simply flat, gravel paths. If you really wanted to ride the Bohusleden end-to-end you could (except for maybe 1 small section), but really it'd be best to just hit the key elements.
