			Mountain Biking Budd Trail

#484 of 1,395 mountain bike trails in Colorado

This delicious piece of singletrack begins right in the middle of the eastern fork
of the Upper Lower Loop and Lower Lower Loop. If you are looking at the major
fork, pick the trail running straight up the middle. It climbs up through some
tight aspens, offering up amazing black dirt with epic traction! After some
climbing and dipping the trail hits a meadow and then veers downhill, rocketing
through a series of excellent bermed turns until it dumps back out on the Lower
Lower Loop. If you are riding these trails, this is a must-ride!

You can connect to this trail directly from Crested Butte Via Butte Avenue and
Peanut Lake Road. On the other end, you can park just off the bottom of the
Gunsight Pass Road which splits off of the Slate River Road.

This is a nice in town trail that is short and easy to get to. It ranges toward the tech side vs other in town trails, but is still not difficult.
| ThankNot sure where the name Aspens and Switchbacks came from but from your description you seem to be reviewing the Budd Trail. This is a new trail which you can access from Woods Walk or from the Upper Lower.
| ThankDefinitely 5 stars!
Intermediate difficulty rating.
