Trail Description
About this trail
There is a bit of everything here. In Antietam lake section, climb the fire roads and then find singletrack to take down the hill. There is more singletrack on top of the mountain. A lot of the singletrack is quite rocky. There are downhill trails on the other side of the mountain.

Review: I love this park for the beauty, the descents, the climbs--and the rocks!

Review: These trails are amazing and keep getting better every year. They should be way higher-ranked. There's something for everyone--broad, level paths for beginners, through steep boulder fields for experts. This area is part of an IMBA Bronze ride center.

Review: Mostly known as "Mount Penn" these trails are highly technical and very rocky. It's legitimate and super fun single track though. Really fun technical obstacles throughout with a ton of rocks. Some good climbs and downhills (some actual DH runs here w/ jumps... but you don't need to ride those if you don't want.). This is classic east coast single track. However, it's not well marked so you'll definitely want a guide. Check out the local IMBA chapter, BAMBA (Berks Area). I think they host some group rides.

Review: This trail rocks...literally! You have to climb the fire roads up the mountain - basically heading south and west - to reach the good stuff. The last bit of the climb to the top is via single track, so don't get thrown when the fire road dead ends at the paved road...the single track is up the hill to the right just before that. Once you finish the climb and cross list road near the top, you'll know you're there. Lots of rock - some of it challenging to navigate - some log-overs, a few jumps here and there, and lots of switchbacks. Overall, a great venue. You have to ride up and down the mountain to get a lot of mileage in, but the technical stuff makes this place worth the visit.
