Also known as the Wilderness Trail, this trail is separate from the Holdridge Mountain Bike Trails also located in the Holly Recreation Area. The trail can be accessed from either the eastern half of the Rec Area, or from behind the Groveland Township Hall. The trail is mostly singletrack however it is a multi-use trail so it is not designed as a dedicated mountain bike trail like the other trails at Holdridge are. The trail itself is a fun 4.5 mile loop. I rode the loop in both directions and it was a blast both ways. Not really any switchback climbs - if you have to go up, you are pedaling straight up. But you certainly get the payoff for all the climbs with some fantastic downhill runs. The scenery was great to look at when my eyes weren't focused on the trail ahead. This is a nice change of pace from the other trails and Holdridge and combined, you can get close to 30 miles of of the whole system, however you most likely would want to load your bike up and drive over from one trailhead to another vs trying to ride the road over from either trailhead.
