Never never never put these on the front wheel unless you stick to dry clay or pavement.
If there were minus ratings these tires would get it.
Should not be on the market

    Pros
    Faster rolling, came with bike

    Cons
No traction in anything but perfect conditions.
Have seriously injured myself 2 x with these on my fat bike. Front washed out badly, went down hard both times

    I'd buy them again

    Pros
Great all around fat bike tire, sets up tubeless easy

    Cons
Only 4.3" wide, not great on ice.

Probably a good tire for Trail AM but not Enduro AM or big mountain riding. Not so good in conditions and rock in the Rockies. I have slashed two in the Rockies -- one set up tubeless on a fast DH -- it was ugly. Probably a good rear tire in the Midwest.

    Pros
Decent traction for trail level riding. Rolls pretty well.

    Cons
Too thin of sidewall. Not enough traction for my riding conditions.

tires are great until you get into really rocky stuff and nick the sidewalls or get into loose stuff and lose traction.

    Pros
    light, fast

    Cons
not great traction in loose stuff, side walls seem too light

I really like the Ground Control, it is difficult to find many tires that are narrower. Before getting the fat bike I was all about the narrow tire 2.1, as there was less ground resistance. Good beginner type tire.

One of my favorite tires for the grip to rolling resistance relationship, replaced one of the old nevegals on my bike with this

    Pros
2.3 large volume, grippy, easy to set up tubeless, suprisiingly low rolling resistance, haven't had any slip outs climbing or on gnarly stuff.

    Cons
Weight, but I wouldn't expect low weight for the tread pattern and trail/all mountain use

Look elsewhere if you ride thru rocks. These things didn't get great traction, but they were pretty light. Only rode about a month before cutting a sidewall on a sharp rock. I was able to duct tape well enough to finish the ride, but I wouldn't buy another one.

    Pros
    light

    Cons
    weak

Great tire. I'd stay away from the S Works model though. 2.3 in front and 2.1 in the rear was a good combo for me for endurance XC races and trail riding.

    Pros
Reasonably light. Surprisingly fast rolling. Good traction front and rear. Didn't take too much effort to set up tubeless (WTB i19 rims).

    Cons
Thin sidewalls on S Works models. I expected tubeless set up to have been a little easier. Took a compressor to get the bead to seat.

Not enough traction for it to be a good front or rear tire. My least favorite tire from Specialized.

    Pros
    -Fast rolling

    Cons
-Not enough traction for it to be a good front or rear tire.

This tire rolls much faster than it looks like it would. Grip is good in most conditions, but stuggles a little in loose stuff. Faster rolling than the Captain, more grip than the Renegade or Fast Trak.

    Pros
    low rolling resistance
    good grip
    light weight

    Cons
a wider 29er size would be nice
struggles a little in really loose conditions
