Absolutely not. Maybe to my enemy I want mortally wounded, lol, but even at that lol...I would have more dignity than that :D

    Pros
Fast in a straight line. That's it

    Cons
I had Fast Track S-Works on the back of my newly bought Rockhopper Sport 2020.

Here is the issue, the cornering. You speed up quick, because center thread is great, but as soon as you take a turn, you will feel yourself loosing control, even on pavement. If you ride over water and take a corner, you might completely fall on the side.

I REALLY did not like this tire, but I will give it 2 star for the speed. The problem is your threat of falling. I changed to Ground Control Sport, and I am very confident on turns now.

Fast Trak is a very tricky tire, if you want unpredictability, go ahead.
If you value your life, health, and life and health of your family riding the bike...DON'T buy this tire.

Specialized has some great tires, but this is not it. I would rather ride on Ground Control and Purgatory than this, but if you want less thread, maybe buy Renegade, and call it done.

Many people are reporting this tire as the one you lose all the control on turns, and spinning their bike out from the back tire.

I am not the only one.

I think they are an awesome tire for cross country single track where you wont be encountering a lot of sharp rocks. I ran the tire for over a year before I started riding more enduro trails at higher speeds with sharper rocks. I would recommend them for that purpose. I really liked the tire and still run it on the back.

    Pros
Like other reviews, they are light weight and roll well.

    Cons
I had a sidewall flat that ended the tire far too soon.

This is a great XC tread. Not for the steep and rough, and not for muddiness. Overall, a very good tire. It is also so durable, I have only just replaced mine after almost two years as a rear tread.

    Pros
fast rolling. Good grip for XC tread. good durability.

    Cons
Sidewall protection could be more beefy. Bigger side knobs too. Not for a front tire.

This a great choice for dry to tacky hard pack. Very fast rolling tire with lots of grip. Not the best choice for wet conditions.

    Pros
    Fast rolling

    Cons
    Not for wet, muddy conditions

I loved the speed of this tire, but sidewall ripped at 2 months normal norcal trail riding. Not to well suited for rocky conditions.

    Pros
fast rolling, good grip on climbs

    Cons
    weak sidewall

Use it for what it is intended for, XC racing on dry, and you can't ask for any better. This tire is freaking faaasst! The only reason not a 5 is because of its lack of versatility in the wet.

    Pros
Very light, very little rolling resistance, good grip when ridden with lower psi (20 front, 22 rear on Stans's Crest 29er)

    Cons
Don't go any where near mud with these things! The low small tread profile is horrible at shedding mud and poor at keep grip in the wet. Price was expensive but worth it for a great XC race tire.

This is in reference to the NEW tread design, not the old original one.

This is an XC race tire (minus the sport versions).

I like this tire a lot and have had great experiences with it.

    Pros
Fast, good grip, durable, looks cool

    Cons
can be expensive (depending on model).

The price is actually spot on for the performance these tires put out.

    Pros
Fantastic rolling resistance and good grip even on "not so hardpack" conditions. Seals up great as tubeless.

    Cons
    $50 a tire is pricey.

Better than the old in every way. More grip, and less rolling resistance. This would be a great XC tire for most riders. Faster than the Ground Control and Captain, more grip than the Renegade.

    Pros
    supple casing
    fast rolling
good grip for a micro knob XC tire

    Cons
none really, for what it's made for it works really really well.

Good tire for the price if your not sure how much trail riding your going to do this tire is a good start without a big investment

    Pros
Great tire for mixed riding (City, trail) Very fast rolling and very easy to remove to repair a tube if needed lasts quite a while (I have around 500 miles so far and still around half tread

    Cons
Punctures fairly easily, had to repair a tube twice in 1 week then had to replace the tube due to glass on the trail.

A nice beginner tire for riding on hard pack trails, paved trails, or gravel roads. I have picked up quite a few thorns with them so they might be a bit thin. I run them at 40 PSI w/ tubes and they provide decent traction of rocks and roots. Pump them up to 60 PSI and they roll great on streets/paved trails.

    Pros
    Low rolling resistance
    Lightweight
    Decent grip when aired down
    Not too stiff

    Cons
    Picks up thorns easily
    Does not shed mud

These came on my bike initially, and I ended up going to running this in the rear primarily. The lack of traction while climbing slow technical stuff can be frustrating at times, but for the other 95% I'm riding it's more than adequate. I do not recomend running this tire in the front as the lack of grip while cornering is not all that confidence inspiring. I've also noticed that when put on a tubless ready rim the beads can be extremely tough to break if you are running tubes.

    Pros
-Fast rolling -durrable -excelent in the rear

    Cons
-Lack of cornering grip -Not the best in loose conditions -not a good front tire

    Pros
Very fast tire great on smooth trails here in Southeast Michigan.

    Cons
You have to play with the air pressure to find the right level so you can make use of the knobs on the side more. But once you got that it rides like big knobby in the fast corners.Lots of GRIP!!!!!
