This is an invaluable piece for your drivetrain. It will lighten it (by removing the biggest chainring) while protecting the rest of your crankset. It is also very inexpensive for the outstanding job it does.
I use this bash guard on my Giant Anthem when I know I am going to be riding trails with lots of obstacle such as the day after a heavy storm. I also use this guard when I know I am riding at certain places with lots of obstacles and woodwork. It performs wonderfully and has never negatively impacted my riding
Pros - Lightweight
- Rugged
- Very easy to install
- Looks cool
Works as intended. Easy to install. Matches the paint on my bike! Had on the bike over 2 years and never had an issue.
Thank | Edit |I ditched the big ring on my XC bike. Makes the bike look nice, and protects the other chain rings when I ride my bike on more technical terrain.
Pros
Lightweight. Strong. Color selection.
Cons
Thank | Edit |Price.
Race Face has produced yet another great product. Sleek and simple design that does what it's supposed to.
Mine has taken multiple hits and doesn't look any worse for wear. The only downside is that the protection and looks comes at a price ($$).
Pros
- Lightweight
- Offers excellent protection
- Thin and sleek design
- Available in an assortment of colors
Cons
Thank | Edit |- Expensive
