Hard to go wrong with this bike. Climbs and descends super well. I find that compressing the front fork to the short travel setting really helps it climb steep technical stretches. So I highly recommend a two step/talas type front fork.

    Pros
Lightweight solid carbon frame. Very versatile. It can be set up as a strong XC ride or slap on 180mm. Great all day back country ride and AM ride.

    Cons
None really. Stock bars are too small of course. Fit is slightly small horizontally imo. Definitely test a size up if you can.

Put better brakes on, and bigger disc's

    Pros
I really like the geometry of this bike, they have set it up well.

    Cons
    The brakes weren't my favorite...

I use this bike as my everything/All mountain bike. I love it.
It is helping me to explore more more abilities and try new things.
Set up with full XT gear, wide bars, X-Fusion Vengeance forks and Cane Creek DBAir. It is fantastic.

    Pros
    - The Carbon Frame is light but still strong.
    - Beautifully designed frame with clean lines.
    - Climbs extremely well. I guess due to the DW link.
    - Very nimble and also stable.
    - Great build quality.
    - Good Range of upgrade options.
    - Inspires confidence

    Cons
    - cost.
    - The stock bars for me were too short at 740. I opted for 780 bars.
