Not a complete POS, (as compared to Walmart Junk) however within 2 weeks I have had 2 flat tires, a noisey shifter, and a broken pedal. Traded it in for a Trek today. No mas. To be fair I am 6 ft 3 260 lbs, so I am a rough rider.
I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for something to tool around town with or follow some smaller trails. I take mine on some serious trails but its a game of risk vs reward. Its just not set up to leap logs and brake hard unless you really man handle it.
Pros Lighter, takes a beating, entry-level, light trails.
Good for college students, or someone looking for a basic bike for running errands on (to the grocery store and such). Also, good for being a general fitness bike for metropark paths and the such.
Pros Good bike to go cruising on local paths, or commuting with. Great value for the price.
Great for the college student looking for a ride that won't be missed if stolen.ProsBuilt quite a few of these at the shop. Cheap and gets the job done.
If you're new to the sport and want a good bike for a reasonable price I'd recommend this bike every day of the week
Pros I just recently got into mountain biking in the last couple of years. This bike was a major upgrade for me without having to blow my budget allowing me to push myself harder on the trails. I still haven't outgrown this bike.
