Love these tires. I wish I could still find them. The tread is not too aggressive yet it uses a sticky rubber that seems to compensate for lack of treat. Great balance for my cross country, singletrack riding style.
Buy them if you can find them. Nag Bontrager to bring these back if you can't.
Pros Fast rolling with good traction. Nice volume too, which is important if riding rigid SS. Bontrager TLR tires seem to work better tubeless than anything else I've used.
Came on my Fuel EX, should have been Experts, Anyway... The treadwear has been good, 1 1/2 year and still pretty decent. If you run low PSI, you'll get a good bite. Wouldn't purchase though.
These came stock on a Fuel EX8 that I have borrowed from a friend a couple of times. Once the center tread wore down a bit and the rolling resistance was lowered, they were actually decent tires. BUT there are much better options on the market if you are buying your tires instead of getting these stock.
Pros Good side knob bite and transitions well from straights to turns. Penetrates decently well in soft ground.
Cons New ones are SLOOOOOOW and don't shed sticky dirt very well.
I have had these tires on two bikes as the stock issue. They have performed well in the Southeast area trail conditions. One set has over 400 trail miles on them and they are still going strong...
Pros Good all around tire for the trail conditions it is designed for.
Well lets see I got these tires with my bike and they are not all that good. The do not hold there line at all on loose and wet ground. When it comes to wet packed surfaces they leave a lot to be desired
Pros None
Cons Do not hold a line and the rear was all over the place
a good multipurpose mt bike tire that can handle southern oregon's trails. i hear that they're "not good on pavement." well, why are you riding your mt bike on pavement anyway?

I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase a set of these. They came stock on Treyk Fuels for a couple years and have been discontinued.
Pros
Light weight. Great on harpack. Low rolling resistance.
Cons
Thank | Edit |Thin sidewalls. Other than in hardpack conditions, these will struggle for grip.
