The fat tires certainly allow you to go where a traditional mountain bike would slide around, but you'll not win any road races on this bike!

    Pros
The gearing is nicely matched to the weight of the wheels. The larger tires really change the feel of the ride, and make obstacles much more managable.

    Cons
Heavy! It takes considerable effort to climb.

I love this one as it's got great photography from exciting locations and the articles are good reads. They don't seem to stage their articles. You know what I mean...only riders on new gear from advertisers, etc. This is real people in cool locations. I like that.

    Pros
    Great photography
    Articles
    Locations

    Cons
    None

One of the better mtb mags out there but it could still use a little help. The articles aren't bad, just short and too few.

    Pros
Great pictures. Not as "sales" based as some of the other bike mags out there.

    Cons
Articles are hit or miss and the magazine size seems to be shrinking every year.

This is the be all / end all of bathroom literature.

Seriously though, of the biking mags I have read, this is my favorite.

    Pros
    Incredible pics.
Solid stories with entertainment and good tech info.

    Cons
Print is kind of a dying breed.

This is a great mag, covers other things that MBA isn't so no real overlap of info. Covers a lot of stuff from tech to reviews, not to much bias either!

    Pros
Just as comprehensive as MBA, but has a sarcastic side.

    Cons
Not as many pages as other magazines.

I just received the Aug 2009 issue from my friend who has the subscription, the very first page I opened up to was the Gary Fisher Superfly 100. Whoa, that right there told me I was going to have to get a subscription for myself! Overall it's well worth the money and your time! Well only if you love to MTB.

    Pros
    The articles are great!

    Cons
    None so far!

A great overall magazine to keep you informed on the MTB world without focusing down too mch on any one area. Best epic trail pics of any mag out there. Always leaves me wanting to ride!!

    Pros
A decent balance of gear reviews, articles, photography, and variance of riding styles.

    Cons
I wish this mag came out each month instead of only 8 issues a year.
