I love this one as it's got great photography from exciting locations and the articles are good reads. They don't seem to stage their articles. You know what I mean...only riders on new gear from advertisers, etc. This is real people in cool locations. I like that.
By far the best photos of any mountain bike magazine. My dad doesn't even ride and he subscribes just for the pictures! Great stories about different mountain biking destinations.
Pros The photography is top notch.
Excellent writers.
Good stories about riding and what it means to individuals.
This is a great mag, covers other things that MBA isn't so no real overlap of info. Covers a lot of stuff from tech to reviews, not to much bias either!
Pros Just as comprehensive as MBA, but has a sarcastic side.
I just received the Aug 2009 issue from my friend who has the subscription, the very first page I opened up to was the Gary Fisher Superfly 100. Whoa, that right there told me I was going to have to get a subscription for myself! Overall it's well worth the money and your time! Well only if you love to MTB.
A great overall magazine to keep you informed on the MTB world without focusing down too mch on any one area. Best epic trail pics of any mag out there. Always leaves me wanting to ride!!
Pros A decent balance of gear reviews, articles, photography, and variance of riding styles.
Cons I wish this mag came out each month instead of only 8 issues a year.
This mag covers almost every aspect of real, hardcore MTB'ing. It also comments on big events going on around the world. This magazine is good for anyone who is looking to increase there knowledge in MTB.
Pros Can be very informative. All the pics are top notch and very intresting.
Freeriding has def been on the climb and Bike is def trying hard to reach out to that market. Pics in the mag are outstanding even if it's of some crazy nut doing a back flip over a valley. Still has some good articles on epic rides now and then.
Pros AWESOMS FULL PAGE PICS
Cons Way to much North Shore/ Wistler/ Bike Park info. Looks like they are really trying hard to reach out to the freeriders out there.
Get the magazine if you enjoy reading articles about the sport.

One of the better mtb mags out there but it could still use a little help. The articles aren't bad, just short and too few.
Pros
Great pictures. Not as "sales" based as some of the other bike mags out there.
Cons
Thank |Articles are hit or miss and the magazine size seems to be shrinking every year.
This is the be all / end all of bathroom literature.
