***   Add a review
#1,008 of 1,414 mountain bike trails in Colorado
#14,259 in the world

This is a 10 mile loop starting from the trailhead at the back end of Grouse Mountain Campground. Start on Cheesman Ranch Trail (Trail 17) and work your way north, east and south (clockwise) until Cheesman Ranch junctions with Elk Meadow (Trail 18). Follow Elk Meadow south and west until it ends on the main road. Head north on the main road about a third of a mile until you reach Homestead Trail (Trail 12) on your left. Follow Homestead Trail west and north and finally east until it reaches the original trailhead again. Lots of beautiful forest and views along the way. You can add some additional alternate trails like Dynamite Cabin, Buffalo Rock, Peak View or Mountain Logger.

Beautiful loop but the riding is average because much of the trail is doubletrack, two-track and fire roads. There is some good riding along the way though and some really fast downhills.
