Panhandle Bike Ranch in Sagle, Idaho, near Sandpoint, offers world-class downhill mountain biking on 170 acres of prime terrain. Built by renowned trail building company Gravity Logic, this shuttle-served bike park currently features about 10 miles of singletrack with 700 feet of vertical drop. The operation includes a developing base area with bike rentals, a repair shop, and food service, creating a comprehensive destination for gravity-focused riding.
The existing trail network caters to a wide range of riders, from intermediate flow trails to expert-level descents. By the end of 2026, PBR will expand to roughly 15 miles of singletrack with 1,300 vertical feet of drop. Four new trails are under construction: a double black tech trail that's genuinely challenging even for experienced riders, a black jump trail featuring mandatory gaps, a blue flow trail that connects to the popular lower mountain flow trail Darling, and a burly pro line on the lower mountain. The pro line showcases massive wood features including a giant seawall, shark fin traverse, and a step up, combined with tight, high-speed technical gaps and natural sections that string together drops, berms, wall rides, and gap jumps.
The Kalbach family has invested $4 million into this passion project, drawing inspiration from nearby Legacy Bike Park in Montana. The steep terrain and beautiful mountain provide the perfect canvas for these expertly-crafted downhill trails.
