What’s the oldest component on your MTB?

From well-worn grips to perfectly broken-in saddles, some components earn their place on our bikes for years.
A close-up view of an orange rubber handle grip with the embossed letters "OURY" on it, mounted on a black bicycle handlebar. The grip appears slightly worn and dirty, suggesting usage in outdoor settings. The background is out of focus, highlighting the grip.

Sometimes, it’s hard to let go. Like that favorite saddle that’s broken in just right. Or those grips they don’t make anymore.

Maybe you’re still running some parts from your last last bike because they’ve still got plenty of life in them. Perhaps the oldest thing on your bike is your bike. Well, the frame anyway, with all new parts.

Whatever the case, we want to know which component you’ve been running the longest on your mountain bike. Tells what brand/model it is, and why you’re holding on to it, in the comments below.
