Mullet Cycles kicked off their bike party four years ago with the release of their first titanium hardtail called The Honeymaker, in 2019. Today they have a second model on offer, called The Peacemaker. This new full-suspension frame rolls on mixed wheels, with a reported six inches (152.4mm) of travel backing up a 150 to 170mm fork. The rear end on this full-alloy ride uses a simple single-pivot linkage, with elevated chainstays to silence the slap.
The small details for this new frame will keep home mechanics happy, with external cable routing apart from the stealth dropper chunk, a 73mm external BB, ISCG-05 chain-guide tabs, and a pair of large bearings on either side of the sole pivot. Mullet Cycles calls the four bearing configuration Double Stacked Single pivot (DSSP), claimed to increase stiffness while requiring virtually no maintenance. In terms of geometry, we currently have a limited amount of information. As with The Honeymaker, Mullet Cycles has decided not to publish the majority of their geometry measurements for the new Peacemaker. What we do know is that the bike comes in three sizes, with reach measurements of 432, 457, and 480mm. Seat tube lengths on those frames range from 386 to 425mm, which means that most riders should be able to select a frame based on length rather than their inseam.
The aluminum mixed-wheel frames will be available in one of six different colorways, with a selection of five different shocks. They currently have a pre-order discount of $500, pricing the frame at $1,995 with a DVO Topaz or Manitou Mara Pro shock. Swapping for a Cane Creek Kitsuma shock adds $250 to that price, a Fox Factory DPX2 adds $350, and an Öhlins TTX Air adds $400 to the original price.
Mullet Cycles also has a new, more affordable aluminum version of their Honeymaker hardtail, with a special pre-order price of $1,000 for the frame.
