This is a mostly level trail that goes through Paynes Prairie. It is doubletrack that offers beautiful scenery and a good cardio workout. Although it is level there are long stretches of sugar sand that really give your lungs a workout.

The trailhead is located in Paynes Prairie State Park. It is located just north of Micanopy on HWY 441. If you are coming from I-75 take exit 374 and head east. Drive about two miles and you will come to HWY 441. Take a left and Paynes Prairie is on the left about a mile down the road.

Its a fairly basic trail which has a decent amount of foot traffic on the weekends so be careful flying around corners. There are some sections of sugar sand and some trees down.
| ThankOne of my first trails on my new bike! It had been 2 days since last rain. Trail was mostly dry, some moisture in leaf litter and a couple of muddy ruts, but nothing a beginner couldn't handle. Pleased.
| Thankthis is a nice little trail to get out and connect with nature. Not much of a technical challenge as it is all doubletrack. Look out for wild animals and enjoy the peace and quiet. Also watch out for sugar sand
