just a few trails that go through some nice forest right in the middle of Lake Oswego. hikers that go through there are fairly tolerant and don't ever say anything. Fun downhill to the bottom with some nice roots, rocks, branches and other obsticles depending on the trail. Check it out its really cool.

From Downtown Lake Oswego turn right on mcvey and follow it up until overlook. just past the school take the second right and go up the hill until it deadends. there will be a trail head with a gate and a map

It is a steep climb to the top of the Butte that is as the end of a street with no parking lot. There is room to park on the street though. There are a few minutes of gradual decline then a few seconds of steep decline. The trails are full of roots and rocks so your suspension will get a work out. I “cooked” my brakes because I wasn’t familiar with the paths and there is a large root at the bottom of the steep hill. This is just a super short and fast trail.
| ThankNice fast short descents that start immediately once you passed the park's entrance on Palisades Crest Dr. I'm rating it @3 simply because I wish it was longer, on the other hand it feels nice not pedaling long to restart .
| ThankShort, but fun. This trail has enough rocks, roots and a few tight switch backs to make it entertaining. Not too crowded and close to town, lap it several times and you get a work out in.
| ThankWould rate it higher if more trail was available. Tucked in a small city park there are under 2 miles of fairly entertaining climbs & descents. Definitely better than most neighborhood parks.
| ThankReally not much of a trail. If you live here it would be worth riding, but to drive here to ride is a mistake with so many great (longer and more technical) around. This trail is steep for short sections, and does have a few tight switchbacks.
| Thanktook to the trails at Cooks Butte this morning. There are several trails encircling the mountain top. even though bikes are "discouraged", they are not prohibited. Nice views, short ups and downs. overall a worthwhile ride being so close to town. i drove in off of Atherton Dr. and parked at the gate to Stevens Meadows on Shipley Dr. A short ride west on the paved path leads right to Cooks Butte trail head.
| ThankSome awesome single path trails, tight switchbacks, and some open gravel riding. Overall a nice trail that can offer up to hours of riding
