			Mountain Biking Greenwood Park Track

#40 of 194 mountain bike trails in South Island

The three kilometre long Greenwood Park Track is an intermediate singletrack marvel. It starts out reasonably flat and fast with just a few rock gardens. It descends gradually to Evans Pass through some technical sections and some wonderful weaving curves. It is elevated, wide open tussock country with views from the Pacific to the Southern Alps and north to the Kaikoura Ranges. It's one of those tracks that stimulates the heart and soothes the soul. It leads onto the Godley Head Track which is even more stimulating!!

The Greenwood Park Track runs along the crest of the Port Hills parallel to Summit Road from the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road to the intersection of Evans Pass Road. If you're riding the Summit Road tracks, it starts right after the John Britten Track and the Godley Head Track starts immediately it. There are signs - it's not difficult to find your way.

Really fun trail, some techy rock sections in places but maintains good flow and rewards proficient riders. Watch out for some of the bigger rocks, they could make a mess of your wheels...
| ThankThe Greenwood Park Track is one of several trails that run along the crest of the Port Hills parallel to Summit Road. They are all great trails and this one is one of the best.
