Binkley Bike Park packs approximately 6.5 miles of trail into a surprisingly varied landscape for North Texas, and expands to over eight miles when connected to the trail at nearby Herman Baker Park. The network includes the two-mile Hammerhead XC trail—now rock-armored to handle North Texas weather—along with downhill trails radiating from Copperhead Castle hub. Features have been added throughout the trail system to keep things interesting, and the techy, flowy, and fast character makes it a solid regional riding destination despite Sherman's modest 700 feet of total elevation.
The park's dual pump tracks are a major draw. A VeloSolutions pump track provides the professional-grade asphalt experience, while a dirt pump track offers a different vibe. Both tracks are lit for after-dark sessions, extending ride time year-round.
The jewel of Binkley is its new rock-armored jump line, completed in late 2025. Built with black clay, capped with decomposed granite, and armored with rock, the sustainable jump line offers three distinct lines—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—so riders of all skill levels can progress their skills. Like the pump tracks, the jumps are lit after dark, and the parking lot tends to fill up on weekends with riders from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex making the drive north.
A really awesome trail system here in Sherman tx! Complete with small skills park and a newly completed pump track, this place is fun! There are several purpose built wooden features from beginner to advanced, bridges, a tunnel and a few creek crossings!
