Devinci has added 29-inch wheels to its downhill bike, the Wilson.
The Devinci Wilson has been in the brand’s lineup since 2011. Their athletes have raced it on the World Cup circuit, most notably in 2013 when Steve Smith took the top spot at Mont Saint Anne, Devinci and Smith’s home course.
This version doesn’t offer a radically different look than the current 650B offering, but there are a few changes.
The 29er has an aluminum front triangle and carbon rear triangle, adjustable geometry, a threaded bottom bracket, and keeps the Devinci split-pivot platform.
The adjustable geometry alters angles by a half-degree. The head angle can be set at either 62-degrees or 62.5-degrees, while the seat angle goes to either 63 or 63.5 depending on the setting.
At the high end of pricing, $6,450 will get buyers an X01 equipped 29er Wilson with SRAM Code RSC brakes, a SRAM X01 seven-speed drivetrain, and a Rock Shox Boxxer RC2 fork.
A SRAM GX equipped Wilson with a Rock Shox Boxxer Charger fork, SRAM Code R brakes, and RaceFace Arc30 rims will sell for $4,200.
A frameset with the Rock Shox Super Deluxe coil shock will sell for $2,280.
