Fuji just jumped back into the full suspension mountain bike market with two new bikes: the all-mountain 160mm Auric and a 120mm trail/XC bike called the Rakan. Both feature patented MLink suspension technology, a design which sister-company Breezer has been utilizing for a couple years now.
An all-mountain ripper, the Fuji Auric sports 27.5″ wheels (natch) and 160mm of front and rear travel. The head tube is a slack 67-degrees and the rear triangle is Boost 148 compatible.
There are four standard builds to choose from, but all include a dropper seatpost, which is pretty much required equipment for any all-mountain rig these days. At the low end Fuji specs a Fox 36 FLOAT fork while the high-end, SRAM X01 build comes with a RockShox Pike RCT 3 Solo Air.
The Fuji Rakan is an aggressive 29er, cross-country bike with 120mm of MLink suspension travel and a steep, 69-degree head tube angle. Though this is a tall bike, the chainstays are relatively short at 449mm to provide an agile ride. The Rakan is Boost 148 compatible as well, making it a good candidate for a 27.5+ conversion down the road, should buyers choose.
Fuji offers a SRAM X1 kitted model at the high end and a more affordable Deore build for riders looking to save a little coin.
Both bikes will be available for purchase in November this year, and we’re hoping to throw a leg over one or both next week at Interbike in Las Vegas. Check out the launch video below.
