Check out http://www.sorbawoodstock.org. Volunteering for a work party is good way to start meeting other riders.
A group of SORBA folks hope to be at Blankets Creek on June 1st for National Trails Day and are looking to set up a tent from 10am-1pm. If it happens, they’ll be doing some trail work and be cooking up some dogs and burgers. Introduce yourself and ask about group rides.

Hey, are you new to mountain biking, or just new to Georgia?
We’re putting together a 30-mile group ride in the mountains of North Georgia in June: https://www.facebook.com/events/275982532546911/
There will be a few bail-out options placed on the map as well, but even the shortest one listed will be a tough 11-mile ride.
