New MTB Trail Grand Opening: Ruidoso, NM

The Village of Ruidoso will celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Grindstone Canyon Multi-use Trail System on Saturday, September 10th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Grindstone Reservoir. This is the first of three phases that will make up the entire 6+ mile project that will feature beginner and intermediate trails. The trails will be constructed to conform to IMBA (International Mountain Biking Association) standards.

Ruidoso Mayor Ray Alborn will be on-hand for the ceremony which will also feature food catered by local favorite Dream Catchers. There will be a variety activities for children, and Lincoln County’s most famous resident, Smokey the Bear will be in attendance.
