I just came across a great ride report on the Grande Route of Historical Villages in Portugal over at Go Nomad. The 335 mile bike route was laid out in 2000 and it winds its way through historical villages in Central Portugal. The author rode the route this past summer in 100+ degree temperatures but came back with some amazing pics. Now is the time to book your trip for summer 2008 – though it seems wise to shoot for spring or fall to beat the heat!
