Armstrong vs. Landis at Leadville: On again?

posted July 20, 2007 by trek7k

Biking Bis is claiming that Lance Armstrong is planning on riding in the Leadville 100 on August 11 after all – despite previous news that Armstrong had a “scheduling conflict.” The post doesn’t explain how Landis will be cleared to race (since he’s currently banned from UCI competition) and Armstrong’s participation is still rumor at best. Still, the supposed match up is almost too good to be true – and it’s on mountain bikes no less! Stay tuned, hopefully we’ll hear some official news soon…

Update: I just read a Bicycling.com article that seems to confirm it: the race is on!

My personal hope is the Wiens crushes both of them… I want to see an epic race, but I don’t think Lance or Floyd are going to show up in top shape…
