New Slack-R Headset From 9point8 Allows Angle Adjustment for Integrated Headsets

Want slacker headtube angle for your mountain bike? The Slack-R headset might be able to help.

If you want to try a slacker or steeper headtube angle on your mountain bike, 9point8 has a new integrated headset (IS) option called Slacker-R that makes it possible.

The brand claims that this is the first angle adjust headset designed for bikes with integrated headsets. Simply remove the bearings and spacers and press the Slack-R cups into your frame, as you would with a traditional threadless headset.

Check out their website to see if your frame is compatible, and to find out how much angle adjustment is possible based on the length of your bike’s headtube.
