Updated Ionic Johnny Rotten hardtail

The Johnny Rotten hardtail, inspired and endorsed by Sex Pistols frontman John Lydon, is back, again. Boulder, Colorado based Ionic is building the updated hardtail with Reynolds 853 steel tubing and Paragon sliding dropouts, and the frame is SRAM Transmission ready for those who want more than one gear. Buyers can pre-order frames in one of five sizes for delivery in 8-10 weeks.

  • Price: $2,250 frame, completes (w/ 120mm fork) start at $5,350.
  • Buy from ionicbikes.com

Lightweight Prologo Proxim W850 saddle

The Prologo Proxim saddle line is designed specifically for mountain biking, and the new W850 is the lightest Proxim yet, weighing just 155g. The saddle is 245x143mm and the cover is said to have extra grip at the back for riding in wet conditions.

  • Price: $201
  • Buy from prologo.it

New Cannondale MTB helmets

Cannondale added two new mountain bike helmets to the line, both priced under $200. The Cannondale Tract, pictured above, features MIPS Evolve rotational impact protection and a three-position visor, and a size medium helmet weighs 390g.

  • Price: $125
  • Buy from cannondale.com.

The Cannondale Terrus also has a three-position visor and upgrades the rotational impact protection tech to MIPS Air Node. The more expensive helmet also gets a magnetic Fidlock buckle on the chin strap and drops the weight to 370g for a size medium.

  • Price: $180
  • Buy from cannondale.com.

Bell Sanction 2

The Bell Sanction full-face helmet has been updated with tech features from the Full-10, resulting in a (relatively) lightweight and affordable helmet designed for riding park. The Sanction 2 comes with MIPS Essential, a Fidlock chinstrap buckle, and an adjustable visor, and weighs 1080g for a size medium helmet. Choose from seven colorways, including some bold designs like the ones pictured above.

  • Price: $180-200
  • Buy from bellhelmets.com

Bravus brews a handful of NA beers

Last week, we published a story about non-alcoholic beers written by Jeff and it was clear that there were a lot of riders abstaining from alcoholic beers from one reason or another. Another brand we’ve been able to try lately is Bravus Brewing Co, which makes a variety of brews, from lighter beers like a Raspberry Gose and Golden Light to porter and stout taste-alikes and two different IPAs. The Peanut Butter Dark is a favorite if you want a desert drink after dinner without the grogginess the next morning.

  • Price: $13.99 for a variety 6-pack
