New Fezzari Lone Peak Youth Hardtail is a $999 Kids Bike with 24″ of Fun

If we want the kids to get stoked on mountain biking, decent bikes are a good place to start. Fezzari has a new 24″ kids version of their Lone Peak hardtail for young riders that includes geometry and components that will give them a good start, and it all sells for $999.

With 24 x 2.6″ tubeless tires and 80mm of air-sprung travel up front, this little alloy bike should offer kids plenty of grip. There’s a 12-speed SRAM Eagle drivetrain to make the climbs more bearable, and a set of disc brakes to regulate the fun-meter on the way back down. It’s also dropper post compatible, should the need arise. While the brand doesn’t share the bike’s total weight, they say the frame is made from lightweight alloy, which should help.

Lone Peak bikes come in one size, with Tiger’s Blood or Sagebrush Blue paint. The brand has done well to keep kids on the right side of the handlebars with a 67° head tube angle. The slacker 73° seat tube angle will help to lengthen the bike’s effective-top-tube length as kids grow and the saddle goes higher. The 350mm reach and 536mm stack height should work for most youngsters over several seasons.

This latest bike from Fezzari is set to start shipping in early September.
