Remember when some jackass rode his motorcycle with his cyclocross bike strapped to it for 2 hours through the fog to race on gravel roads?
Well the guys from North Central Cyclery are at it again. First I demand that you watch this:
After that I strongly recommend you see this:
Lastly, check this out and seriously consider GIVING THE VIDEO GUYS YOUR MONIES.
That is all.
If the race is half as good as the videos it should be a lot of fun! Can’t wait to see the 2012 video now…
Anybody else signed up for the Dirty Kanza 200? http://www.dirtykanza200.com
Sounds like a cool ride. Wide range of riders from mt bikers, cyclocross to roadies could get involved on a ride like this.
Not a cyclocross guy, but loved the videos.
Dont see how this applies to this website… I would fall asleep riding mile after mile next to cornfields…no thx.
@Spartan, me too, but that doesn’t mean that other MTBers don’t enjoy it. From what I’ve heard, 29er MTBs work just as well or even better than CX bikes on some of these races.
@MTBGreg, can you say “Salsa Fargo”?
@brianW, exactly.
@ mtbgreg …I hear ya… I was just busting balls on the gratuitous and redundant marketing effort. It was shot beautifully though..
That’s what I love about these videos – they’re WAAAAY over the top for any bike race, let alone a race on gravel roads in the midwest. 🙂
Those videos were awesome. Especially the second one.
