Trail Description
About this trail
This trail system is composed of trails wide enough for vehicles (prohibited) and plenty of singletrack as you get closer to the creek. The trails are marked in colors on the trees. I typically enter at Deacon Rd. and go straight. This is the "blue" trail. I follow it till it branches off to the right by the water into singletrack. There are plenty of roots, some twists, and some hills. As you follow the path you'll come to two old log cabin ruins. Passing through here you'll eventually come to the area where the gravel road for Rancocas Rd. ends. If you keep going straight you'll see the blue markings on the trees to keep on that trail. After a bit of biking you'll have the choice of turning left or going straight. I normally go straight and continue on with the "orange" trail. This wraps around the woods on some doubletrack and eventually intersects back with the gravel road. You can go straight across here and pick up the "green" trail. This trail is all singletrack and you come to a pretty steep hill initially. After climbing the hill you'll end up following along a ridge then back to some more "blue" trail. There's a lot to this network of trails that I haven't mapped yet so stay tuned for more.

One thing to be wary of, the sand. There are a few sandy areas which are easy to get through or go around however there are a couple hills where the bottoms can be a slight turn and sandy at times, both of which add to a possible front tire sliding out. Most of these trails are beginner with maybe a few intermediate areas.

Review: The 4 stars are to be taken in context: In an area without a lot of trails, it's pretty damn good. Start at the end of Deacon Road and follow the blue trail. Take it to the orange, then to a dirt road. Make a right, go almost to the houses ahead and sprint left up onto a 15-20 ft. ridge. Take a left onto the green trail. Beautiful singletrack following the ridge. At the end, take red back to the beginning of blue. Blue starts as a sandy jeep road and turns into dirt singletrack as it follows the creek. Some roots in lower lying areas. Punchy little rollers all the way through. No rocks, and many types of dirt are represented. Lots of blowdowns after recent storms. not sure who is in charge of removing them, but they are very slow. Still worth it for a quick ride. Do 2 loops if you need miles.
