Pros: great quality of video when on a helmet mount

Cons: too shakey on handlebars

Model/Year: HERO 3 Black Edition

Pros: Picture quality
Available accessories

Cons: None

Recommendation: I really like this camera. The available mounts is staggering as are the other accessories that you can get. Add in the iphone app and I think it's a pretty complete package. I know this is under "helmet cam" section, but I'm of the opinion that the chest harnesses give the better quality and viewpoint. I like seeing the handlebars and what the rider is doing. The helmet cams are a little odd to me and the looking around is strange in some cases. If you're looking for an action video camera, I'd say this is really your only choice, isn't it? I know there are others and one in particular that gets a lot of positive talk, but it's like the mobile phone discussion, there's the iphone and the other guys. The other guys do some nice things, but they're still "the other guys". This is GoPro's world. Don't try to fight it.

Model/Year: Hero 3 Black 2013

Pros: Excellent video quality
Excellent picture quality

Cons: I have the camera 4 weeks and haven't found any cons yet.

Recommendation: Great quality reasonable price! The high resolution settings overwhelm my PC.At first I thought it was a defective camera, but my videos play great on other computers and YouTube. Great quality videos and still pictures.
