Rider Questions

Q: are the brakes good -Guest

A: The work well, but they're EXTREMELY loud. When trying to bike through crowds they are useful to clear people out of your way with how loud they squeal.

Pros: Lightweight without giving up sturdiness.

Cons: Breaks could be better and the seat is terrible uncomfortable, put together by amateurs expect loose nuts and screws and low air pressure

Recommendation: Easy to use start by adjusting breaks, tighten bolts replace tubes after purchase, a good all rounder for a novice.

Model/Year: 2015

Pros: Cheap! If it gets stolen you can go buy another. ;-)

It is full suspension. Looks good. For light trail riding it's fine.

Shifts fine. Tires are ok to start with, but they are only 1.95. Wider upgrade is probably a good idea at some point.

It's $130 and I can have a lot of fun on beginner to intermediate trails. If it holds up for a year or so I'll consider it a win.

Cons: Front suspension has no pre-load and the action is a bit notchy. On the heavy side.

Recommendation: I'll jump pretty much anything I come across on a trail, so we'll see if I crush the rims or not!

Model/Year: 2015

Pros: It is cheap. It has aluminum frame. It is a full suspension bike. Good starter bike for kids. It has Shimano grift shifters and rear derailleur.

Cons: It has 21.15mm fork barrel (interior diameter), limited room for fork upgrade. It has generic wheels, front derailleur, crankset and bottom bracket. It is heavy (due to generic parts).

Recommendation: With mountain bikes you get what you pay for. For $100 mountain bike this is a pretty good bike. If you want better components and frame, you should spend more money.

Pros: Great looking Light weight Frame design

Cons: Suspension Low grade shimano parts Tires Wheels Poor brakes

Recommendation: I was disappointed with basically everything except the frame. It is a great looking bike and very light but other than that it almost got left on a trail on the very first ride. Weak suspension, bad brakes, low grade shimano parts, unstable tires, and wheels are almost certain to bow. Maybe I just got a bad one but I was not going to risk it again. Maybe I got a bad one but I would not buy if I could do it over. Overall waste of time for me.

Pros: The bike is a nice way to start off riding

Cons: I found out there was alot of rust in the bike wen I pulled it apart and from my first few rides I got sand and mud in my crank messing my bearings up, I also hav bent both of my rims in only 1 month of riding

Recommendation: Over all I would say to save ur money and buy a lil more expensive bike, I wish I did
