2011 Stumpjumper FSR 29 Comp
Right amount of travel for my riding style. 130mm travel up front AND in back. Sorry Gary, the Rumblefish is nice, but I prefer the stumpy. The Comp model is really the sweet spot. Makes me feel like a better rider. Purgatory tires.
Is only offered in Navy/White... Uncool. I lucked up and got my LBS to acquire a Black/Red one (Test bike colors woooot). Much more my style. I've been blowing lots of tubes due to thorns so went tubeless. I had an issue with my brakes being very "soft", took it back to the LBS. All they had to do was clean the pads, make some adjustments and now I canstop on a dime.
If you can afford it, and a stumpjumper fits your riding style... this is the bike for you. This wouldn't be the best bike for racing, probably more towards the Epic (which I still really liked). I'm not a DH guy, but I like going down sketchy stuff realy fast. This bike tackles roots, rocks, and holes in the ground without problem. I've been riding 5/7 days (weather permitting) since i've gotten the bike, and If I had to choose another bike I'd go the same route over again.
