At 17.2 mi. Troublesome Creek is the longest trail in the Trail Creek Recreation Area. A few shorter trails tie in from HWY 125 Bill Miller, Elk Mountain, Buffalo Creek, and Troublesome Access. You can also get there from Kremmling These are some rough primitive trails worth exploring. There are many possibilities with all the trails in the area.Lots of horse traffic. Pick up a free Grand County Trail Map at the Forest Service Information Center in Winter Park, Granby or from Headwaterstrails.com.

From Granby drive 2 miles west to hwy 125 (Willow Creek Pass) turn right continue 9 miles turn left to the Cabin Creek Kiosk and the Elk Mountain access.
