California wildfires impact bike companies

posted December 7, 2007 by trek7k

Bicycle Retailer reports a few bike manufacturers and retailers got scorched in the recent California wildfires though it sounds like for most it’s back to business as usual. The folks at Ellsworth were forced to evacuate their headquarters and some bike retailers lost almost a week’s worth of business.

Unfortunately some area mountain bike trails didn’t make it out unscathed. According to the same article Limestone Canyon Park and Whiting Ranch were both 90 percent burned and as of Monday both parks were still closed. Anyone know if there are plans to reopen soon?
