Coming on the heels of yesterday’s post about the rooftop mountain bike expo in France, the Red Bull Roundup (this weekend, July 26 & 27) has a unique flavor all its own: mountain biking on a movie set. The first day of the Red Bull Roundup mountain bike competition will see 30 select riders tearing up a 1930s Chicago street scene movie set. Actually the press release I read called it “a 1930s movie set in Chicago Town” but I think Kanye West would prefer they call it “Chi Town.”

The second day of competition will take place at a good old fashioned slopeside bike park - The Whistler Blackcomb Bike Park to be exact. After the competition Red Bull is sponsoring an online video contest to see who can create the best highlight video from the event using their own footage and/or official footage from Red Bull. Should be gnarly, if you make it out send us your pics!
