This week we’re rolling out a widget for mountain bike groups and clubs to post on their websites that displays info about local mountain bike trails. Along with the top-rated singletracks photo of the trail, the widget also displays the latest trail status and a select review of the trail. The best part is, singletracks members can login and update the status of the trail from directly within the widget in one easy step.
Anyone can grab the simple iframe code from trail pages by clicking “More Actions” then “Widget” on the trail dashboard. The code is customizable too – choose from a vertical or horizontal layout and show/hide the trail title. For the tech savvy it’s even possible to change the widget background color.
Singletracks member joetutt first approached us about the idea for a widget and his club’s site, GrahamSwampMTB.com, is the first to show the widget in action. The goal is to make it easy for clubs to communicate trail closures while also providing useful trail-based content. More cool trail stuff to come this spring!

GREAT idea! This will certainly help make the trail status information more reliable.
Yes sir- perfect timing.
I am heading back to alaska this spring and will be working on the statewide trails directory. I will find a way to incorporate this into some of the areas, thanks.
This is cool but is there anymore news on an Android singletracks.com app?
Our trail widget rocks! It helps bring our website to another level and we appreciate it.
It also shows how ST.com is a class act. Thanks!
