Colorado sting nets high end mountain bikes

posted October 15, 2007 by trek7k

Summit County sheriffs recovered a number of high end stolen mountain bikes and arrested 3 suspects last week after receiving reports of the missing bikes showing up for sale on eBay. The thefts occurred in the Keystone, CO area, though the article didn’t give a time frame for the thefts.

One of the victims alerted police to the online auctions which shows it pays to be proactive in getting your bike stuff back. Just don’t pull an OJ and attempt to set up your own sting, leave that to the pros ;) Oh yeah, and if you see hundreds of pairs of singletracks socks up for sale online anywhere, let me know so I can get them back!
