Description: Located inside of the outer loop, this is one of the more challenging trails at Chicopee. There are more rapid elevation changes, bigger roots, bigger rocks, and a few whoops that offer some air opportunities. In addition there are a couple of cool log rides and other technical features, but these can all be bypassed if you choose not to ride them.

Too many dang roots! Otherwise, decent trail. Frankly, this is my least favorite trail at Chicopee because of the dozen or so root climbs. If it could get smoothed up a bit, it'd be much more fun. With afterwork rides, we usually just skip Copperhead altogether.

More advanced trail, but primarily due to TONS of roots. Not a lot of climbing. I like the Van Michael trail out at Blankets Creek much more. Traffic goes in both directions so you have to stay sharp!

One of the best trails at Chicopee! More challenging than the outer trails, and more things to entertain you.

The Copperhead Gap trail is a really scenic trail with a bit more technicality then Flying squirrel. It actually starts at the north leg / intersection of White Tail Loop (Old Outter Loop) and ends on the western leg of Flying Squirrell. Labeled as advanced it is not overly exhausting. I would label this as more intermediate. Don't let its rating scare you away from a very enjoyable ride.

Similar Trail: All of Chicopee, Longer version of Blankets.
