| Pros | High sensitivity receiver. MicroSD Card. | | Cons | Relatively expensive map software from Garmin. | | Verdict | I've owned this unit for a couple of weeks now and I am loving it! The high sensitivity receiver actually makes a huge difference in the accuracy of the tracks and waypoints. I love the fact that it is ready for expansion (with the purchase of a microSD card). I haven't had a chance to use this feature yet since I just shelled out $280.00 for the unit so another $120.00 for map software is not in the immediate future. Can't complain about the bright color screen, USB port, and the neato menu system with total customization available. Overall I love this device and think the price is reasonable for the amount of features you get. It would be nice if Garmin included at least a topo map instead of the basic streets and highways (useless almost). The only difference between this unit and the more expensive Vista HCx is the barometric altimeter which I can live without for a much lower price. | | Recommended for: Anyone |
