Labor Day weekend was made for mountain biking

Not many people know this but Labor Day was actually created as a holiday for mountain bikers back in 1882 so riders could get in one last epic ride before the end of the summer. In that tradition we’re getting a jump on the weekend by heading up to the Chilhowee trail system just east …

Not many people know this but Labor Day was actually created as a holiday for mountain bikers back in 1882 so riders could get in one last epic ride before the end of the summer. In that tradition we’re getting a jump on the weekend by heading up to the Chilhowee trail system just east of Chattanooga, TN today. If the trails are anything like the nearby Tanasi trail system we’re in for a real treat. If they’re not, I guess we’ll just have to ride Tanasi as well to get our fix 😉

Wherever you go mountain biking this weekend be sure to bring your camera and your GPS if you have one so you can share your ride with us. Also remember to get your reviews in before September 1 for a chance to win the Garmin Edge 205 cycling GPS. See you on the trails!
