Lance Armstrong returning to the Tour?

posted September 8, 2008 by trek7k

CNN/Sports Illustrated is reporting that Velonews says Lance Armstrong is planning to return to the Tour de France in 2009 - though the man himself has not confirmed yet. Just like Mike, I guess Lance is feeling a little bored and unloved in retirement. Or maybe he’s tired of losing mountain bike races (Leadville 100) and marathons (Boston, NY). The article also mentions specific races Lance is said to be planning to attend in 2009 including the Tour de Georgia. Woo hoo!

NFW!! I mean the guy is a fantastic cyclist, but after retiring at the top of your game, the best thing to do is stay retired . . . you can’t go down. He has his name on enough stuff I’m sure he really doesn’t need the money either.
