Beret Helmet

posted January 23, 2008 by trek7k

What better way to show your French pride on the road or trail than with a bike helmet shaped like a beret? A young artist in Czechoslovakia has designed just such a helmet, though sadly it sounds like there are no plans for commercial production.

Besides the unusual shape of this helmet there also appear to be embedded LEDs which on first glance seem to be a nice touch. The lights would certainly keep you safe from cars riding at night but alas they can’t protect you from getting your crap kicked in for looking like a dork. And what’s with the antennae-looking thing on top, does the helmet have wi-fi?
