Coming from Phoenix or elsewhere get yourself on to the Loop 101 portion east of I-17. Take the route 51 exit either N or S, dependent upon your location on the loop. Take the Northern Ave exit off of 51 and follow signs to Dreamy Draw Park. You are at the trailhead in the middle of Trail #100. There are also other trailheads at 7th and also at Tatum that access the terminus of the trail. Parking though is best at Dreamy Draw.

Description: From Dreamy Draw you can head NW on Trail 100 and immeadiately hit a ridge with good views. Ride on for 5 - 6 miles of nice single track and great views, to 7th and return. If you head east you go up gentle climbs and nice track all the way to Tatum. This side is not technical. There are great options for more technical riding on the east side on other trails such as trails 8, 304, 302. Trail 1A is nice smooth singletrack also.Enjoy.

I was an out of towner for a week and had previously ridden Hawes and Pima area the days before. This trail has a LOT of offshoot sidetrails, so you can pretty much pick your intensity. I started at the Dreamy Draw parking lot, crossed under the highway and proceeded to get lost on the east side. There were sections where I had to push and bulldog or walk down and some pucker up areas. More of a long distance trail compared to technical Pima area National/MOrmon and more traction than Hawes (kitty litter type sand). Highly recommended because you can tailor you're ride to suit your skill. Hard to get lost, but bring water, etc.

Similar Trail: in Phoenix area I only tried Hawes and south mountain area trails National (pucker up!) and Mormon (half as much pucker but still technical). I rented from cactus bike shop. excellent Giant Yukon setup.

Good long trail with decent climbs, definitely a fun ride.

Rode the trail this evening and is was great. We are from Oklahoma so we arent use to a trail this rocky, but it was fun once we got use to it. Some of the climbs were steep for us but that may be because we didnt carry the speed during the downhills to carry us back up the hill. Overall it was a great trail and if we lived here it would be one we would ride regularly.

I rode this trail in the afternoon after hitting the National Trail that morning. That being said, I would say this trail was nothing special compared to the National Trail. For the most part the trail was flat double track. The trail consisted of loose sized rocks with a hard pack bottom. There were a couple of nice short technical climbs but nothing to write home about. If I was to ride this trail again I would hit the east side of the trail, which is suppose to be more technical. I would not waste your time on the west side.
