Description: Listed as 223J on the Forest service markers, this trail starts at the halfway
mark of the Jones Creek Ridge trail. It veers off to the right and runs over
FS 28-1. After about 2 miles, it allows you to turn right and connect to the
north end of the Jake Mt trail or you can continue along 223J and eventually
dump out back onto FS 28-1 just south of the entrance to Black Branch
Loop. Use it as a connector to make a loop or just as an out-and-back.

Earlier this year Moss Creek was completely redone by the forest service from the y junction all the way to the Jake Mountain trail. It is now longer and much more rideable, the trail will be much more sustainable over the long run, and it is super flowy! Such a great trail now!

IMO, the best singletrack in the entire Jake/Bull Mt network behind the Bull Mt trail. Twisty, turny, tight, rooty, and flowy all at the same time. Looks like the horses don't know about this one yet and I'd love to keep it that way. Do yourself a favor if you are riding in the area and work this one into your ride.
