Description
This is some challenging singletrack through the forest & over slickrock up and around a bowl at the base of Lee Mountain. The extremely scenic surroundings make it a bit difficult to keep your eyes on the trail- There are a few bootleg trails in the area but if you stay to the right on this one you will get to the end. The trail climbs a bit for the first mile, first through the forest and then up a bit of a wash until it breaks out into a slickrock bowl near the top. Follow cairns or tracks up and around the slick rock to the left gets you back onto the singletrack starting a downhill grade through the trees. About .7 mi later the trail runs along a natural bench in the rock, at the end of this bench is another Y, go left here if you would like to go straight back to the Bell Rock Pathway. Continuing on for another mile of twisting an turning through the trees the trail will dead end at the Little Horse Tr. You may turn around and ride back on the Llama Tr or take a left here to get back to the B. R. Pathway in .5 mi. This trail has some technical spots, some big drops and is popular with hikers so please pay attention and be courteous. At the B. R. Pathway turn left and ride about 1.5 back to your starting point.

Review: Very nice trail offering some technical sections, a few challenging (but short) climbs, and some nice flowy singletrack. Beautiful scenery. Got a bit lost around the slickrock wash near Courthouse, but otherwise well marked. Very enjoyable!

Review: A little difficulty with the directions from the car to the trail but it was our first outing. Found out that we are NOT intermediate yet, glad there was a shortcut half way through. The downhills were a blast especially as a first ride off the sidewalks! Rode it on a Monday, by 10am it was crowded with walkers- plan accordingly.

Review: Great trail, fun in either direction. Saw some trail runners, otherwise had it to myself. It's easy to loop it with other trails in the Bell Rock area, and it's shady in the late afternoon/evening.

Review: Another Sedona favorite. Makes a great addition to any of the trails in the area. Some fast sections and challenging rock moves makes this a must ride trail. Oh yeah, it's pretty here too.

Review: Real nice singletrack, reminiscent of Moab. Nothing technical, but fast and flowy singletrack for a few miles. Not much climbing or descending, fairly flat but fast. Super pretty scenery. Can be tough to follow at points, like when you're riding through the washes, so look for cairns. Got on this trail after I rode up to Chicken Point, makes for a great way to lengthen the ride

Review: Decent dirt singletrack in Sedona, alternative to Little Horse when coming down from Chicken Point. Watch for easy to miss right turn or you will end up in Wilderness Area where bikes are not allowed.

Review: This is a fantastic trail. It has a great variety of singletrack, bot buff and technical, both fast and flowy and tight and twisty, with some slickrock and air opportunities. There is great scenery around every corner. And, you can combine it with other fantastic trails like Broken Arrow and Templeton to make your own epic ride. Or, you could play here all day, taking the various inbetween trails offering a great number of loops. The trail is great in either direction. No matter what you do, you can't lose.

Similar Trail: Loop this up with Bell Rock, Mystic, Chapel Trail and Broken arrow.
