Description: This park has everything. It is rated for everyone from beginner to expert, which is why I marked everything as a 5 since anything can apply. Most of it is singletrack, but there is a little bit of doubletrack in there too. The guys that maintain the trail ask that you *do not ride if the trail is muddy*!!!! It is maintained by volunteers and is always changing.
Landahl is better than ever, with 10/11 open again providing some of the most technical riding in the Heartland. Rim Job and Tasty Goodness provide miles of sweet singletrack. So many miles of trail to ride (15+ mi.) that it will take you 3 hours to ride the entire park. Some problem wet areas, but when it is dry, this is one of the best around.
This is a hidden diamond. I have ridden trails in many states, and this is one of my favorites. If you love technical trails, you will love the "Rim" trail, "Taste of Goodness", and the "10" and "11" trails. If you have any reason to go to KC MO, don't miss this trail system.

good trail with a little of everything for intermediate riders and some tricky creek bed and rocky sections for riders who like the technical stuff too. good exercise run trail for more advanced riders.

This trail is a big surprise. This level of technical challenge in the middle of the midwest is quite unexpected. Some spots require trials-like skills. To make it more interesting, these spots are in very dense woods. Overall, there's pretty good variety as there's also some easier and faster stuff as well. the only thing really lacking is big climbs/descents, but this is KC. Well worth a stop if you're passing through as it's just a few easy miles off I-70.
I drove 3 hours to ride here and it was NOT worth it. The trail may be good for the area but it isn't worth going out of your way to ride here. There are some interesting rock sections and technical challenges that were fun but overall the trails were below average compared to other trails in the STL area. The trails were also overgrown in many areas and the the black runs were unrideable in lots of areas due to the overgrowth which kept you from being able to see the rocks in the trail.
This is my favorite trail to ride in Missouri. Landahl has everything for everyone. The trails are well maintained, marked, and easy to follow, clearly built by bikers for bikers. If you want fast and flowy to steep technical cutbacks, and everything in-between the Landahl trails will not disappoint you. This is a MUST RIDE! Plan on taking the whole day if you want to ride it all, doesn’t matter which direction you take off from the trail head it will always lead to something fun.
I love to ride here Its my #1 local spot. It has everything you want to ride from zippy singletrack sections to the rock & root filled technical stuff. There's also plenty of good climbs & desents. No problem for beginers as the trails are marked in difficulty. Highly recomended. A must ride
I love this trail. It is definately the best mountain biking trail in the midwest having biked just about all of them. There are easy areas and technical areas. There is something for everyone. There must be almost 20 miles of singletrack now. This trail is definately better that berryman, chubb, or castlewood.
this is a must if your in the area, great single tracks with loads of skilled rides.. theres some basic for the newer rider trails but its mostly difficult, for skilled riders. it is VERY well maintained and has what i can only guess alot more then 8 miles of track,, there are what,, about 10+ different named trails,, not many of them short.. i would suggest bringing a tube and a chain if your going to do some tech rides.. * Review edited 6/10/2009
Great trail system. Mostly singletrack that is well maintained. Trail systems are interconnected by fireroads. Several stream crossings through the forest. Keep your legs pumping the whole time. Some great technical areas to practice boulder ascents. Overall very fun. Definitely the best trail system in the Kansas City area.
Landahl is the best place to ride in the Kansas/Missouri area. With over 16 miles of singletrack trails (and more being added), there is something for every level of rider. Rocks, cliffs, hills, flat, switchbacks, and more. Iíve been there when the parking lot was full and could ride forever without meeting anyone on the trail. What else can you ask for?

Awesome trail system. The best I have found in the KC area. We rode a few of the loops and had a great time. Good hills, good roots, good rocks. We rode the "Black" trails (I think they were called black). They we on the opposite side of the creek from the rest of the trails. It was not as good of shape because I am sure most people are scared to go over there. It was hard but fun. Got a good bruise from falling back down a rocky climb. Again, awesome every bit of it.

Great trails. The initial reviewer gave it a 5 for difficulty due to the wide variety, but I would rate it higher than that. It also exceeds 8 miles of trail, by quite a bit. Probably the \"crown jewel\" of KC mt. biking. Great stuff, difficult, great aerobic workouts. The easy stuff is limited to one loop, but it is a fun one.
